Tech Tip FlexLM User View

The following will allow users to check the status of the FlexLM server and see who may be using a SpinFire license.

You will need the “lmutil.exe” utility installed on your machine, 
see links below:

    64Bit: lmutil V11.10 64Bit >> lmutil_x64_n6.zip

    32Bit: lmutil V11.10 32Bit >> lmutil_i86_n3.zip


- Copy the lmutil.exe file to a shared directory on your network. Be sure 
  the Client has access to the license Server using the DNS resolution.

- Create a Batch file with the following information:

  • ECHO License Manager query SpinFire PRO Start
  • lmutil lmstat -c port number@server name -f 3DView35 core
  • pause
  • ECHO License Manager query end

You will need to enter the TCP/IPport number and the server name 
or the server IP address.
- Example: lmutil lmstat -c 27000@Dell-M4500 -f 3DView35-Core

The results of the command should look like the following:
